Epiphanies come at the most interesting times. I've had a bunch recently but today when I was driving home in my beat up pick-up truck, listening to some poppy music, wearing my $0.50 sun glasses, and looking at the sprawling fields I figured out my destiny. I am here, on this earth, to first accept and respect myself, the people around me, and the environment that surrounds us all. I need to find what makes me happiest, what gives me that feeling I know less than I should. I need to seek out opportunities to feel that way and to try and make people around me feel that way.

I need to find more balance in my life. Sometimes it works perfectly, between school, work, alone time, and social time, and sometimes its just so messed up. I hope to find the perfect balance asap!

I have many more pictures from my adventures with a school camera. Lately I've been cleaning out my message center, I always seem to get on top of journals/comments but never deviations but lets see what I can do! I hope to learn more about css so I can design myself a sexy new journal but I doubt that'll happen. I joined the =DailyDeviants team and thats going great! They always need your suggestions! I'll leave you with a massive feature of what I've found in the past month or so and if you haven't check out these polls:

    Have to Face It

Journal Entry: Sat Mar 29, 2008, 11:33 AM
And then there was more drama. I don't like being upset or when other people I like are upset. Change is good but not when its not invited (read :devsbraci: & $FallenRox's journals and journal comments for more information)

I've reverted back to the default journal because all of the custom css was beginning to freak me out and get cluttered though I had some good times trying to figure them out.

Earth Hour is almost upon us. Take part in it because its so easy and will help so much.

    Oh
    My
    Goodness
My message center was freaking huge! I had three hundred journals and a thousand deviations+ deviations! I'm almost done look at all the deviations (still have 300 but all the journals have been picked through)

I'll be submitting more photographs in the upcoming weeks. I created a fisheye lens with a peephole I bought from a hardware store and I've been getting some nice results with a crappy camera.

My webdesign skills are getting better too! I am getting a 91% (the avg is 66%) in Intro to Webdesign at school and I couldn't be more pleased. I definitley want to do more of it in the future, its my bread and butter if you will.

My parents have ordered a new computer and so far we've just got the monitor and I think its the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! I swear I have to actually more my whole head to see from one side of it to the other! The resolution is 1680 x 1050 pixels!

Here's whats been troubling my blonde head. If people believe that their religion is the only way its because of the experiences in their life that have led them towards that thinking, right? Maybe their parents brought them up that way, or maybe an experience led them away from a religion. If I was born in say, India, wouldn't I believe what the majority of the people there believe? Or if I was born in Madagascar wouldn't I believe what the majority of them believe? So who are we to say that our way is the only way? Who are we to say that we are better than anybody else?

Other rants, the Canadian Government wants to pass a bill called Bill C-10. "Bill C-10 is an amendment to the federal Income Tax Act, now in its third reading before the Senate. Among other things, the bill would enable Heritage Minister Josée Verner, or a posse of bureaucrats moonlighting as film critics, to deny tax credits to a Canadian film that she or her officials find “offensive” or “contrary to public policy.” -National Post While some people are saying that this isn't sensorship I am saying it is. If the government can choose which filsms to fund and which ones not too, some of the ones that they choose not to give money to will not end up being made and you know what, life can be offensive so why shouldn't our movies be offensive? If its our tax dollars from a huge group of people all with varying views and morals the government should be supporting all film projects not what they feel is right or wrong.

I swear I have never thought more about food then this week. I am becoming quite the cook! Last night I made a peanut sauce stirfry (with peas, carrots, broccoli, red and yellow peppers) on top of wild rice. It was fantastic! Other highlights were a califlour and cheese suace casserole, bean burgers, and coconut rice.

I'll be around a lot this week, its spring break (I plan to run, read, drink tea, cook, have breakfast with friends, go shopping by myself for the first time, work, and listen to alot of music)!

    Must See

Journal Entry: Sun Feb 24, 2008, 4:32 PM

I haven't seen an animated film this good since
Spirited Away! I got the chance to see it yesterday at a theater beside our hotel in Fargo (I wasn't to big into the whole shopping deal). I had low expectations but I'd heard good things about the graphic novel which the film was based on. Persepolis is up for an oscar in the Animated Feature Film tonight and I'll be rooting for it. Most of the film is in black and white and the animation style is so unlike any other movie I've ever seen. Go see it, you won't be disappointed, I promise!

This is the second time I've read
The Giver (by Lois Lowery). There's something about the charaters in this book that make me feel sad for them. Lowry creates a world thats believable and interesting. Words can't explain how I feel about this masterpiece. Aparently there will be a movie based on the book in 2009. I don't know how I feel about that.
